چکیده

Background: The aim of this study was to elaborate a randomized clinical trial protocol evaluate the effectiveness class I restorations in resin-modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC) and bulk-fill resin primary molars with untreated early childhood caries toddlers. Material Methods: A total 59 toddlers up 36 months old at least two molar teeth dental single surface on different sides mouth will be selected Pediatric Dentistry Clinics Faculty Federal University Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil. Teeth left right each patient’s randomly distributed into 2 groups: Group 1 (Control): encapsulated RMGIC restoration Riva light cure (SDI, Florida, USA) (Test): Filtek composite (3M/ESPE, St. Paul, universal bond adhesive system USA). trained dentist perform all restorative procedures. evaluated after 1, 6, 12, 18 24 by calibrated examiners. Cost-efficacy analysis carried out. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis, Log-rank test, Cox regression, Poisson regression Mann-Whitney test or Kruskal-Wallis performed analyze data. Conclusion: make it possible determine most efficacy material for cavities

Conventional versus resin-modified glass-ionomer cement for Class II restorations in primary molars. A 3-year clinical study.

OBJECTIVE To compare the clinical performance of two glass-ionomer cements (GICs)for Class II restorations in primary molars: a conventional cement (Fuji II) and a resin-modified cement (Vitremer). DESIGN Split mouth and random assignment to the two materials were used for the majority of the molars. SAMPLE AND METHODS Forty consecutive 4-7-year-old children were included. One operator made...

Microleakage Evaluation of Class II Composite Resin Restorations with Different Thicknesses of Resin-Modified Glass Ionomer

Background and Aim: One of the weaknesses of Class II composite resin restorations is gingival microleakage which contributes to postoperative sensitivity and secondary caries. The aim was to evaluate the microleakage in Class II composite resin restorations with different thicknesses of resin-modified glass ionomer (RMGI). Materials and Methods: In this in-vitro study, standardized Class II s...
